The End of a Great Year - 2010

Here we are, it's almost the end of 2010!!! I can't believe it!! I feel like this year has gone by SO FAST! Just think (no wait, I'm thinking - YOU JUST READ!!) this year, I've:

- finished 6th grade
- started 7th grade
- turned 13
- gotten my ears pierced
- lived with braces
- gotten those braces taken off
- gotten a retainer
- had a boyfriend, who turned out to be a pretty awesome regular friend instead :)
- hung out with my BFFs!!
- gone on Bike Trip (that includes my huge accomplishment of "learning to ride a bike")
- moved up a level in swimming (JV to Varsity ((oh yeah!)))
- gone to swim camp in Indiana (not even gonna comment on that one)
- gone to Alaska
- started 8th grade Algebra and Spanish!! :D
- done a bunch more stuff that I can't remember right now but was awesome all the same!!! :)

Next year, I hope to:

- finish 7th grade with style ;)
- start 8th grade with a bang! (a good one, please!!)
- hang out with my BFFs some more!!
- do more awesome stuff that I haven't even thought of yet!!

But mostly - next year, I will carpe diem

The one on the left is my fabulous "Santa Chicken" and the one on the right is the whole tray - mine is #8 and Lily's is #7 - aren't they just the coolest chickens you've ever seen?!

COOKIES ROCK!

Hello again!! This time I'm writing from an entirely different state! Wait for it... Illinois!!! :P haha! Gotcha!

Anyway - I really am in IL - with my bff Lily and we are making cookies like you wouldn't believe!! This is our 3rd year going together to this cookie bake - and the challenge cookie this year is CHRISTMAS CHICKENS!! (yes, Jaylah, Christmas chickens)

Harry Potter 7

Oh. My. God. That movie ROCKED!!! I have already seen it twice (and plan on seeing it again sometime this week :)

My favorite parts had to be...

• When Harry and Hermione danced in the tent
• When George spots Harry and Ginny kissing - and proceeds to stick his toothbrush into the hole in his head ;)
• All the scary snake parts that I told everyone I hated but I secretly thought were AWESOME
• When Hermione is really mad at Ron, and he tries to get her to like him again by talking about "the little ball of light that floated into his chest"
• When they buried Dobby :'(
• When Harry tries out the Snatcher's wand by making the flame in the jar grow - and it turns into a column of fire!!! :D
• When Harry gets hit by a Stinging Curse from Hermione
• When Harry (while under the influence of Polyjuice Potion) sneaks out of Umbridge's office and everyone stares at him :P
• When Fluer turns into Harry to move him to the Weasley's and you get to see what Harry would look like if he wore a pink lace bra :P

So basically the whole movie - but those parts were da best!!

A Beautiful Blanket of Navy Sky with Shiny White Stars in the Shape of a Snow Cone

I just got back from 7th Grade Bike Trip (which I gotta say - makes it to "top 3" in terms of awesome camp-outs) and IT WAS AWESOME!! Seriously.

First of all, my biking skills are beast now!! I'm so proud of my self! *smiling* In the beginning it was a little tough, what with all the retarded hills, but by the end I was making it up and down them without stopping!! Yay!! :)

Second of all, I have officially decided that stars shine brighter when you're holding hands with someone :) No really, I think that's a scientifically proven factiod. Ask Ben.
So anyway - here's how it happened: A bunch of people were hanging out down by the telescope Gerald had brought, and it was really dark because you couldn't have any flashlights around it. The stars were bright in the navy sky and the blankets were a startling white against the near-black looking grass. Ben and Jeremy had gotten there first, and there was an open spot next to Jeremy. Lily laid down next to him, and I next to her, and we gazed at the stars for maybe 2 seconds before Lily decided this setup we had going wasn't working. "Jeremy!" she said (pretty loudly I might add, but I love her for it :) "Switch spots with Ben!" At first Jeremy was all "I'm not moving..." and then he realized what Lily was trying to do. Then he started cooperating :) So Jeremy switched with Ben and Lily switched with me, so the lineup goes (from left to right) Jeremy, Ben, me, Lily. Perfect. :P So the rest you could probably guess but I'm gonna go ahead and tell you anyway: we held hands :) Like, BF/GF hand-holding, my fingers in the spaces between his, which was very cute :)

And other than that awesomey exciting hour, we biked. That's it. Oh yeah, and ate. OH! And slept, we did a lot of that. But that's it. I swear.

Ridin' a Bike

Dude - I just realized, like too late, that I cannot ride a bike. Well, I guess that's not a true statement (I'm taking Algebra, so we're all about "true statements") I'll fix it...

I cannot ride a bike very well.

Well, I guess that's not true either, cause I fixed my problem, so really what I should have said was...

I couldn't ride a bike very well until a few hours ago.

There we go - now I'm pretty sure that's true... :P Anyways, so back to the point. I couldn't ride my bike, right? So we're going on this trip to Grant's Trail tomorrow, my class I mean, and today during the skill check I kind of embarrassed the heck out of myself because I hadn't ridden a bike in about 2 years until like 3 days ago - so yeah - imagine that!!

So I was going extremely slow (compared to everyone else, but not compared to myself 3 days ago, back when I was re-learning) and I had trouble stopping and starting and changing gears and all that stuff. But I made it through the day - even though a whole bunch of people were kind of being really insulting and mean - and then I came home and I was like "I need to practice riding my bike!!!"

So my dad took me to Forest Park and we went all the way around the loop - not very fast mind you - but faster than I had gone earlier and I was doing well stopping and starting and all that jazz...

I think I probably started the day (on a scale of 1-10) at about a 3 - maybe - and by the end of that ride at Forest Park, I was an 8 or a 9 - which is AWESOMEY AWESOME AWESOME!! See ya on Grant's Trail tomorrow!!

Hello Again!!

Hey everyone! I'm really sorry I haven't been on for a while!! I've been really busy lately. OK - so I'll go through everything in order...

1. I GOT A PHONE!!!! I'm so excited!! It's a Samsung Gravity 3 - and I love it!! Texting so much easier than sending e-mails!! :P

2. I GOT MY EARS PIERCED!!! I'm so happy!! I got 4 mm silver balls as my starters - and I love them!! They're so pretty!!

3. I AM NOW A TEENAGER!!! That's right - the one and only me has just turned 13!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Yay!!!!!

So that's pretty much it. Thx for stickin' with me people, even though I haven't been typin' up some exciting events! :)

In Florida - Day 4

Hey everybody!!! Just finished watching So You Think You Can Dance finale and...

OMG!!! LAUREN WON!!! OMG!!! GO LAUREN!!!

:) GO KENT, TOO, EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDN'T WIN!!! YOU ROCK!!!

And that Ellen DeGeneres hip-hop dance was AWESOME!!! Ellen: you are the most amazing hip-hopper ever!!! :P

Anyway, about today - we went to the beach and actually got to swim in the ocean!!! :) I loved it!! The water was the perfect temperature - and it was beautiful. I love the ocean.

In Florida - Day 3

Hey everyone!! Sorry I couldn't write yesterday - I was kinda so bored out of my mind that I didn't really think to tell you about it. Well today...

THE SUN FINALLY CAME OUT!!!

We went to the beach today - except the waves were SUPER huge and I got so many shells in my swim suit that it was crazy... crazy uncomfortable!! :)

I got a Build-A-Bear!!! The black peace and smiley face one! I'm so excited - she's so cute!! She's a rapper - by the way, and she's awesome. Like me! :)

To my family - I really miss you guys!! I love you all and wish you could be here with me. To Eliot: I miss you, buddy!! :)

I'll tell you guys more about what's goin on later, OK??

In Florida - Day Uno - Part Uno

Hey!! Yep - I decided I can't just stop talking to you guys for a week!! So here's kinda the update in Florida right now...

It's raining.

Yeah. I know, I get it. You're thinking to yourself: It's raining? In FLORIDA? But, there's nothing to do in Florida when it rains! And you are 100% correct on that last statement. In Florida - outside activities make up the majority of the activities offered in the Naples area. In short - we are stuck at home, with nothing to do except; A) spend a really long time in your room watching Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes and reading your new book called Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover which you've recently decided is totally not as good as the first two books in the series (me) or B) run screaming around the house playing Hide and Seek and/or Tag with everyone who's not totally dead tired (Molly, Lucy, Alex, and Sophie ((not me - another Sophie))) or C) take a nap or D) make dinner - to be consumed at a later time (the grandparents)

I'll have "Part 2" out later. Miss you all!!

I'm Goin to Florida!!

Later, dudes!! I'm leaving for Florida on Monday and I'm sooo excited!! Except, of course, for the fact that we need to be at the airport at 5:30 in the morning!! But it'll be worth it. I'm going with my two sisters, Molly and Lucy, and my grandparents... which means, in short, PAR-TAY!! :) Ice cream for breakfast!! :P

Transformers 3 Video

Hey everyone!! Sorry I couldn't get this to you guys sooner, but I only just found my camera connecter thingie :P 

Anyway, I just wanted to send you all a video I took while I was in Chicago. I'm assuming you all know about the "Transformers" movies - and they were filming the 3rd one while I was there!!!! So I got this awesome video (well, sorry in advance for the crazy jerking camera - I was excited, OK??) and I thought all of you would want to see it.

OK - so the girl in white (in this movie thing) is a Victoria's Secret model who was cast to replace Megan Fox (in case you didn't know - Megan was fired :P ), and the guy next to her is Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy (but I'm not entirely sure about what his character is yet), and if you can see him, over in the shadows over there is Shia LaBeouf, standing next to the fire pits (he's only seen in the beginning of my movie), and the rest of the movie is pretty self-explanatory. In short, they totally blow up Chicago!! :)

If you can't see the beginning and end, basically Victoria's Secret model (called VSM for the rest of this) walks out with Patrick Dempsey and they are looking out at the Chicago skyline, then everything starts blowing up. At the end of the movie, out walks VSM and Patrick, and then Patrick grabs VSM from behind and drags her off screen.
